Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing. By purchasing with KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING you’re agreeing to these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out here. These terms and conditions abide by The Consumer Contract Regulations.

Contract of Sale

Completion of the booking process and acceptance of our terms and conditions forms your contract with KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING.

Positive, reward-based training

The KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING ethos is to train using positive and reward-based methods, in line with the INSTITUTE OF MODERN DOG TRAINERS (IMDT) Code of Ethics. By purchasing services from KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING, you agree to comply with this methodology to the best of your ability. This includes avoiding the use of aversive equipment such as slip leads, prong collars, e-collars, figure of eight leads and head harnesses, as well as any methods or tactics that involve punishing, frightening or causing discomfort to the dog.

Training exclusivity

To ensure consistency and continuity of training, you agree not to utilise the services of another trainer or behaviourist while actively receiving training from KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING, unless explicitly agreed with KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING in writing.

Scope of practice

KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING specialises in training and behaviour work for pet dog owners. KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING does not provide vetinary, diagnostic, prescriptive or treatment services. Occasionally, KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING may recommend a vet check or sign post to third-party information for reference purposes.

If, after consultation, KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING feels that a particular training or behaviour issue is outside its scope of practice or expertise, KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING reserves the right to refer clients to a more appropriate professional.

Training is a collaborative effort between the dog training instructor, the handler of the dog and the dog themselves. While all of the techniques and advice given by KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING is based on sound and proven behavioural science, no guarantees are made in terms of timelines or efficacy of training due to the multiple factors at play when working with complex, sentient beings. To maximise the effectiveness of training, handlers are encouraged to work with their dog to apply their learnings in their own time, outside of formal instruction.

Health and safety

While in public spaces or class environments, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, unless otherwise instructed by your KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING instructor.

In class environments and in public spaces, t is important to give other dogs enough personal space to be comfortable and safe. We respectfully request you keep your distance from other dogs until invited to do otherwise by your KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING trainer.

In the event that dogs need to toilet during a class or 1-2-1 session, it is the owner’s responsible to ensure any waste is cleaned up and disposed of appropriately.

Please follow instructions at all times, this ensures yours and everyone else’s safety in regards to teaching and use of equipment.

Please report any incidents or accidents involving people or your dog to a team member immediately.

Cars are parked at owners risk, we do not take any responsibility for damage, loss or theft.

If your female dog is in season please contact us to discuss whether attending training is appropriate at that time. Alternative arrangements will be offered if deemed not suitable.

Please take responsibility for your dogs health, if you are unsure if your dog is fit enough to attend class seek veterinary advice.

Termination of services

KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING reserves the right to terminate services without notice if clients are found to be in breach of the Terms of Service. Services will be terminated immediately if clients are found to be using aversive training methods or equipment. No refunds will be given in this instance.

In certain conditions, such as weather or world crisis including pandemics KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING reserve the right to offer a class online at the same time and day of the week.

If training outdoors, weather conditions will always be taken into consideration, although classes/appointments will only be cancelled if the weather presents a significant health and safety risk to yourself or your dog. Only classes/appointments cancelled by KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING will be eligible for a refund or alternative appointment. Any cancellations made by participants due to bad weather will be considered a no show and no refund/alternative class will be offered.

Travel in all conditions is purely at the risk of attendees and KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING take no responsibility for accidents.

Course Content

KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING reserve the right to change the content, timing, date, venue or Instructor of the course/appointment in order to provide a high quality service or where it is necessary for reasons beyond our control. KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING reserve the right to cancel a course/appointment up to and including the date of the course/appointment and will strive to give as much notice of this as possible. Individuals booked onto a cancelled course/appointment will be given the option of a full refund or of rescheduling to a future date. KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the course or cancellations. Course materials are supplied only for your personal use.

Data Protection

Any personal information you give to us with be processed in accordance with our privacy policy, GDPR guidelines and the Data Protection Act.

In order to promote the work of KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING, we may ask you from time to time to take part in photography or videography that will be shared publicly for marketing purposes. You will be asked to sign a separate consent form if you are happy to be photographed and/or recorded. Declining photography and/or recording will in no way impact the services offered by KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING.

Prices

Prices are subject to change but are correct at time of posting.

Payment

KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING accepts payment via Stripe – no card details are stored or processed by us.

Payment for any and all services is to be made in advance of any services commencing. All bookings will be considered provisional until payment has been made.

Any contract for purchases made through the website will be with KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING.

Once payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation sent to you at the email address you provide, which confirms your order with KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING.  KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms.  Please check your spam folder if your receipt or welcome information does not arrive within 24 hours of purchase.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made IN WRITING via text message or email and will be subject to the following fees:

o   0 – 7 days prior to the start date: 100% payment of full course/1-2-1 appointment fee is payable – no refunds

o   8 -14 days prior to the start date: 50% payment of full course/1-2-1 appointment fee is payable – 50% refund (minus £5.00 admin fee)

o   15 days or more prior to the start date: £0 payment of full course/1-2-1 appointment fee is payable – 100% refund

If the participant fails to attend the course/consultation the full fees are payable.

No refunds/extra classes will be offered for missed sessions unless explicitly agreed in writing by KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING

Any and all deposits are strictly non-refundable.

Under the Consumer Contract Regulations, your right to cancel is unconditional within a period of 14 days from the date of order confirmation. Cancellation requests following this period are subject to the above terms. Should a course commence within the 14 day period, your cancellation request is automatically void.

Giveaways and Competitions

Any and all competitions offered by KAELUM NEVILLE DOG TRAINING are subject to the following terms:

o   Entrants must be aged 18 or over

o   Entrants must be based in the UK

o   To be eligible, all entrants must follow the instructions cited in the giveaway promotion itself.

o   Entries made after the closing date/time will not be considered.

o   Winners will be contacted within 48 hours of the closing date to confirm their prize and organise fulfilment.

o   Winners who do not respond within 7 days of being contacted will have the prize withdrawn without notice and another winner will be drawn from the pool of eligible entrants.

o   Prizes cannot be substituted for cash, credit or alternative goods/services.

o   All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

TERMINATION OF SERVICES

We strictly reserve the right to terminate any and all services, without notice or refund, if the client is deemed to be in breach of these Terms.
